The American Indian Arts Council, Inc. is a multifaceted community arts organization dedicated to encouraging and fostering the highest level of achievement in artistic expression of Native American visual and performing arts, while preserving the rich heritage, culture, and traditions of all American Indian people.

The AIAC is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation registered in the state of Texas. All contributions are tax-deductible up to the maximum amount allowed by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

Organizational Milestones:
Since 1989, the AIAC has provided ongoing cultural and education services to the citizens of Dallas and the state of Texas which include . . .

  • Producing the annual "American Indian Art Festival & Market" at the Annette Strauss Artist Square in the Dallas Arts District (1990-2004)
  • Operated the "Native Arts Center & Gallery" featuring authentic traditional and contemporary works of art, publications, literature, and media products by documented American Indian Artists (2005-2009)
  • Established the AIAC Scholarship Program for documented Native American students attending institutions of higher learning and majoring in Fine Arts (Awarded in excess of $30,000 in assistance)
  • Serving as a resource for Cultural Presenters and Guest Speakers for community groups, schools and businesses
